Awards for Linguistics Graduate Students

There are three endowed sources of funds that are available specifically for graduate students in Linguistics. The Steven G. Lapointe Award provides a stipend to assist with travel costs associated with presenting a paper at a conference. The Nancy M. Webb Scholarship provides more substantial financial support for graduate study. Recipients are chosen each year from among the eligible students who submit applications. The Tippy Schwabe Grant provides funds for CATESOL memberships and CATESOL conference registrations for up to ten students each year.

In addition to these awards, there is a small allotment of funds for graduate student support that allows us to offer students presenting papers or posters at a conference some travel expense assistance.
