Chaofen Sun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Asian Languages, Stanford University, where he also serves as Director of the Center for East Asian Studies. His publications include Word Order Change and Grammaticalization in the History of Chinese (Stanford University Press, 1996), Chinese: A Linguistic Introduction (Cambridge University Press, 2006), and several edited books and many articles.
