Raúl Aranovich and Kenji Sagae have been awarded an NSF Grant to develop an ontology for cybersecurity.

Raúl Aranovich and Kenji Sagae have been awarded NSF grant #1840191, to build an ontology for cybersecurity. An interdisciplinary team of linguists and computer scientists will develop a complex system to harvest and retrieve concepts from online discussion boards, advisories, and program documentation, organizing these concepts and their relations in a logical network, or ontology. The ontology will be deployed in the UC Davis School of Medicine, to help secure its scientific cyberinfrastructure. The project, which received $640,000 in funding, will last for two years. Besides Aranovich (as the PI) and Sagae, the team includes Vladimir Filkov, Premkumar Devanbu, and Matthew Bishop (all from Computer Science).
