Admissions Requirements
Applications, with supporting materials, must be submitted online through Graduate Studies by January 15.
For applicants to the M.A. program, we require: all transcripts, three letters of recommendation (preferably from instructors), general GRE scores, and a statement of purpose. Except under special circumstances (such as when the country of origin is an English-speaking one), international applicants must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report. Minimum scores on these tests must be 7 (IELTS), 250 (TOEFL computer), 600 (TOEFL paper), or 100 (total for all 4 components of the TOEFL iBT).
To be eligible for all funding opportunities, applicants must report general GRE scores and file a FAFSA and a fellowship application available from the Graduate Studies website.
