Financial Support
Financial aid is available to graduate students through several means, including employment, fellowships, scholarships, awards and loans.
- Fellowships and Scholarships
- Three endowed sources of funds, the Steven G. Lapointe Award, the Nancy M. Webb Scholarship and the Tippy Schwabe Grant, are available specifically for linguistics graduate students.
- Travel Reimbursement
- Graduate students are eligible for travel expense reimbursement from the Department of Linguistics for presenting papers or posters at an eligible conference.
- Financial Aid
- Linguistics graduate students typically obtain substantial financial support through employment as teaching assistants (TAs) and graduate student researchers (GSRs), and additional sources also are available.
