Dr. Ashley Keaton Earns Postdoctoral Position in Iceland
We would like to congratulate one of our recent PhD graduates, Dr. Ashley Keaton, who has been awarded a three-year research grant at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik! A prominent member of our Phonetics Lab, Dr. Keaton did research that focused on speech sciences, human-computer interaction, and AI speech. This fellowship in Iceland perfectly aligns with her recent qualifications. Her grant is titled "Developing linguistically-informed technology for cross-linguistic detection of speech and language disorders" and was one of only a handful of accepted grants from the Allocation from the Icelandic Research Fund for the Financial Year 2026. To read more about the institute itself or other accepted grants, feel free to peruse them here.
We wish Dr. Keaton the best in her research endeavors over the next three years!
