Bio
Hello! I am a PhD student in Linguistics at the University of California, Davis. I focus on phonetics and I focus on the interception of social identity and speech production. I am in the process of writing my preliminary paper where I analyze ethnic and regional identity in California and the speech that those groups produce. I have some experience with fine-tuning large language models, using tools like Fasttext for sentiment classification, and I am honing my skills in R.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and found myself living abroad and in various parts of the United States. When I am not doing school work, you can find me playing my Nintendo Switch, traveling, and baking bread.
